Just came home from Jyväskylä. "The springtime competition series" started today, as the Finnish Championships in master-classes in classic bodybuilding and body fitness were held in this little town located in the central Finland. I was there helping my friend Birgit behind the stage. We had a fun trip all in all, and Birgit was happy with everything- even though she came 10th in her class. She shows a good sport :-). All the other girls (eh, women) were just way more muscular and top notch conditioned. This is a hard sport, as the competitors usually get just better and harder the older they get.
I'm luckily back in training and dieting (harder than ever), after suffering a week long nasty cold/virus/ combined with symptoms of overtraining that showed as total exhaustion. Not nice at all. I cut out all training from my week regime, added calories and spent a lot of time just sleeping and recovering. The only before planned thing that I did was going to the LPG-treatment I had sceduled for Sunday. Oh boy how sick I felt after that :D, my body felt over-exhausted and restless at the same time.
Luckily I feel super now, despite having cut out all the carbs. I've planned to go on ketosis for these last two weeks that are left. It's a good way to shock the body at this stage and shed off the last remaining kilos. I need to dry out and size down. But just being able to train again and feeling healthy and strong is something that makes me feel really happy again. And that feeling will really push me forward the last remaining weeks :-).
